Melissa from Another Eden.

I won't spoil what happens in her side quests but she's absolutely perfect. It's amazing the Japs didn't fuck this character up like they do with almost all the others

Lots of female characters for a while there all like Aldo, the main character. It was tedium

Then they moved into "this character has a curse/power that makes everyone love them or become infatuated"

Few female characters escape this. Radias I think, who is also amazing. Maybe Deidre.

Melissa's side quests are so good, mostly because they're solo so we don't have Aldo saying something Durrrr..., or forcing the character to do something. The quests go by, and Aldo is just like "sure, you can join me on my travels".

This is not to say I dislike Aldo. He's great, gives me a Laguna vibe. Dumb but full of heart, always helping others. Not so stupid he's annoying
