(a helpful diagram to show you where genus lies in biological classification)

'Armored' Dinosaur Fossils Found In Spain Belong To Never-Before-Seen Species, Scientists Say (PHOTOS)

Researchers estimate that Europelta was at least 15 feet long, weighed about two tons, and thrived between 113 million and 110 million years ago during the Cretaceous period, making it the oldest nodosaurid discovered in Europe.

Reminds me of one of my absolute favorite dinos, Kentrosaurus

but obviously looks way more like Panoplosaurus and his relatives

I wouldn't want to fuck with any of them to be honest

Pfft you shouldn't need a diagram to learn about phylogeny.

I'm not proud of this but I used the following to help recall the order back in my fresher years:

Look
Don't
Kinky
Pigeons
Congregate
Oversea
For
Group
Sex

Of course it can't be that simple:

Look
Don't
Kinky
Pigeons
Congregate
Overseas
(SF) Searching For
Fecund
salty Fish
to
(st) stimulate
Grim
sea Gull
Sad
Sloppy seconds

There is an idea of a Necro; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there

Both, hence the "get it out of the way", because unfortunately the internet works like that.

Part of me has always wondered how much has either been destroyed for various reasons sometime in the past, or possibly even lost in archives somewhere from the early heyday of paleontology when it was barely a field and nobody quite knew what they were doing or looking at, so it isn't really surprising these are still popping up now and then. Neat but not shocking.

Weren't the spines for heat dissipation or something?

That's stegosaurus. But scientists honestly aren't truly sure what they were for, could have been for display, or heat regulation, or protection. Or all three. We won't know unless we somehow find their blood vessels intact in some sort of miracle
