Castlevania Music - Destined Cruz (Castle Corridor)

Abandoned Castle ~The Curse of Darkness~ - Castlevania CoD

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin OST (10) Silent Prison

Castlevania Order of Ecclesia OST - 225 - Rhapsody of the Forsaken - Arranged

Classic VGM 113: Castlevania: SOTN - Dracula's Castle

[Castlevania] Ripe Seeds (Hard Rock Arrangement) by M&K Company

I'll physically fight you over this claim since everyone knows it's all about them Atelier OSTs.

But it is good shit yes.

...No Empty Tome?

If it's not Legend of Zelda or Mario I probably won't even notice it while playing. My tastes are simple, and awareness minimal.

Also this. It takes a lot for me to pay attention to a game OST.

I am the exact opposite, I live and breathe game and movie OSTs

Empty Tome is great, but if I were to list every great CV track we'd be here all day.

Atelier is great too but can get a bit too campy at times for me. Atelier Iris/2 still the GOAT soundtracks in that category

Vampire Killer is probably the only Castlevania track that I really, really remember.

Dragon Quest has always stuck with me, even despite my minimal experiences with the games properly. FF8's soundtrack has always been a go-to, the orchestral versions are wonderful. Vanquish's soundtrack fits the game so well that I listen to it fairly regularly, F-Zero GX's soundtrack is pretty perfect.

Dynasty Warriors soundtracks have always been a favorite of mine, though. Yellow Turban Rebellion for DW3 is probably the raddest tune ever:

DW3 - Yellow Turban Rebellion OST

I also enjoy the pretty hardcore Biwa jams of Samurai Warriors 4.

Personally though, soundtracks for me have fondness on how much I enjoyed the game. Good music gives me a better experience, but a solid game with solid music always makes it good. Mario games are really good for this.

Gurl, if it was up to me every OST would feature a song with bird noises and cowbells.

I feel like a lot of them are all to samey so they really need to stand out for me to care. I get it, you're a desert theme, I can tell because you use the same instruments/general everything as every other desert theme in an RPG ever.

Xenoblade Chronicals has a badass OST in general though brah. Even if the song names are all bullshit.

Davey's got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

I really enjoy vidya music but not even I will say CV music is the "best ever" even though
even though

Cv4's music is fuggin top notch as fuggin shit just watch the fuggin opening

no other cv topped it. well, cv 2 on gameboy was also excellent but

anyways better music comes from say, breath of fire or other rpgs mainly.

and super metroid

My favorite Castlevania opening music is definitely this

Castlevania Symphony of the Night OST Track 02 - Prologue

It's repetitive as hell but also awesome as hell (like Zero's themes)

Even I will admit that there's a lot of amazing music better than CV though. I was just on a CV high when I made this thread

Anything from Falcom generally has an amazing soundtrack, the Y's games have really good music.

Anyone who says the best game soundtrack isn't Plok is delusional. YOU HAVE NO MUSICAL TASTE, YOU HEATHENS.

Trails of games have really, really good music (if a bit campy)

Super Metroid,

The SNES Donkey Kongs,
